I received a sample of Zuzu Luxe Oil-Free Liquid Foundation in a shipment from The Nature of Beauty. Zuzu Luxe is a vegan cosmetics line. The Oil-Free Liquid Foundation comes in a range of 9 shades from L-03 to L-24. What? Exactly. There is no description of the colors, so I'll do my best to describe L-03, which is the shade I have. L-03 is the lightest shade available, and is perfect for my fair skin if I'm not wearing sunless tanner. It has cool undertones. The foundation has a great liquid texture, evens out my skin tone, and has a nice matte finish. I love that it's oil-free, since many Chemically Independent products contain plant essential oils. It is everything you'd expect from a traditional liquid foundation, with one exception: it dries quickly, making it a little difficult to blend. The ingredients list titanium dioxide, which makes me think it has some sun protection, but that is not advertised anywhere, so I'm not sure if it has SPF or not. Generally I'd recommend this product for those of you who don't like powdered mineral foundation or tinted moisturizer, since it's very similar to traditional liquid foundation and has a great matte finish.
